Cost of Inaction

Your incident rate isn't just a safety number. It's a line item.

Enter your headcount and current recordable rate. This tool estimates the direct and indirect cost of your incident exposure using OSHA's own $afety Pays methodology, the same NCCI claims data OSHA uses to advise employers.

Defaults to Moderate, typical of an oilfield recordable. Adjust below to match your own claims history.

Insurance Exposure Optional

If you know it, we'll show how it's compounding your exposure beyond direct and indirect claim costs.

Estimated annual cost of unmanaged incident exposure

$0

Based on your current rate, headcount, and OSHA's indirect cost methodology.

Methodology. Direct and indirect cost figures are drawn from OSHA's $afety Pays Individual Injury Estimator, which uses National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) claims data on a sliding scale, where less severe injuries carry a higher ratio of indirect costs, and more severe injuries a lower one. This tool is intended to raise awareness of exposure, not to serve as a precise forecast or actuarial analysis. It does not include OSHA fines, litigation costs, or reputational impact.

These numbers reflect what unmanaged risk is already costing you.
A HOP-based safety program is built to close that gap.
